September 2018

Today I got to walk on the cliff path from Porthleven to Loe Bar for the first time since it has been re-routed after the cliff falls over the winter. The path is a lot higher which should mean that it is around for a long time. The more elevated position means that there are some stunning views in both directions, towards Porthleven and towards Loe Bar. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area!
The day started off with a mixture of cloud and sunshine and quickly became cloudier which created some dramatic skies. It was still quite warm for a September day and there was not a breath of wind for the few hours we were out which meant the sea looked like reflective steel.
Autumn is really setting in now and the first leaves on trees are beginning to turn golden. The colours of Autumn are one of my favourite things to paint and I'm looking forward to seeing the foliage change over the coming weeks...

Today was a beautifully warm and sunny late September day. Autumn has come to Penrose and this can be seen in the changing leaves and foliage, but the temperature was that of a late summer day!
I walked from the Helston end of Penrose along to the Stables and then on to Loe Bar. The air was lovely and fresh and there were plenty of walkers out and about, enjoying the unexpected warmth.
I enjoyed looking at the changing colours of the leaves and plants. The colours of Autumn often inspire me and it will be great to document the trees as they change throughout this beautiful season...
