A glorious spring day! for the first time I had to take my coat off which means it must be warm as I can feel the cold badly!

The late spring has meant that now it is finally here, everything is growing at an astonishing rate. The leaves on the trees have grown considerably since my last visit a couple of weeks ago and the hedgerows are alive with stunning wild flowers of beautiful jewell-like colours. +

The birds were singing their hearts out and plenty of insects were buzzing around. The smell of pollen was strong in the air and I was able to catch the last of this season's bluebells.

I had a beautiful evening walk along the cliff path from Gunwalloe to Loe Bar, around Carminoe Creek and up Degibna Lane.

It was a lovely warm late spring evening and the smell of the flowers was in the air. The sun was low and casting a beautiful golden light on the landscape.

At this time of year there is the most stunning display of Sea Pinks on the cliff paths and I can't wait to paint them!
